I currently live within 60 miles of Boston, MA, but will be moving to the Washington D.C. area in 2024.

This is not the first media outlet created using the ZachsThoughts name. However, the web domain was open when I acquired it, and no other ZachsThoughts media organizations appear to be operating at this time. However, just to be safe: the official name is ZachsThoughts US for legal reasons.

The only external site we are connected to is Contemplations Of A Raised Ranch, also owned by me. Other than that, we are proudly an independent media brand.

It comes sporadically with no formula behind it. If there is, my chemistry teacher couldn’t teach it to me for the life of her.

If it’s a passionate post (ie. one that actually interests me), it can take 2 days (in small chunks) to draft, refine, edit, and publish by myself. If the post is “eh”, then it can take up to 1-2 weeks. Generally, I will set a private release time and be constantly updating the post until the very end. Oftentimes updating even when live.

Not necessarily. ZachsThoughts is geared towards those between 15-25 years old, but is suitable for anyone over 13 years old. Some posts may have an additional warning if I am reviewing something rated R or 18+.

ZachsThoughts is built on a custom child theme of Divi on WordPress. The theme license is provided by Gordon Multimedia.

ZachsThoughts is connected to Beehiiv to provide our outbound email infrastructure.

There are some services (such as WordPress.com) that allow you to create a blog for free. However, if you want to make a complete website for the blog as I did: You should acquire a domain and a host for said domain. (I recommend Nexcess. WP Engine also is a good bet). Alternatively, if you just want a place to put your writing online, Substack is a great option as well.

ZachsThoughts uses Gravity Forms to  develop and deploy surveys, application forms, and more.
